About Our Company Director

I have an Afro Caribbean heritage, my father was part of the ‘Windrush’ generation and the first black man to  open his own grocery shop in West Bromwich, catering especially for “Jamaican” foods.

I was Born and raised in West Bromwich, attended Churchfield High School and became qualified in gas appliances and plumbing from West Bromwich College.

My youth hood was difficult times with Racism prevalent on the streets and the black community was a ‘special target for the police’. I was fortunate to join Sandwell Council and worked with them for over 14 years as a gas and plumbing technician.

I set up my own gas and plumbing business, employing a team of engineer’s and providing in-house training courses for “disadvantaged individuals” in conjunction with local Colleges.

I developed close and extensive working relationships (including excellent reputation) with landlords, letting agents, Insurance companies, boiler manufacturers and tenants.

I became a”trusted” name in hearing and plumbing in the private and public sector. My social interest included working with local communities tackling poverty, racism and anti crime initiatives,  particularly local gangs.

I am a good listener with vast life experiences and enjoy working as a team. I am a confident person and can work with different age groups, racial groups and religious groups.

My own family is made of different rainbow colours, cultures and religion which has given me much insight, empathy and understanding of others.

Mutual love,, respect and care is the binding glue for this evolving and vibrant Sandwell community. We have to work together to tackle social challenges and help and support the more disadvantaged members of the wider communities.

My affiliation with WARREN JAMES (a Community Interest Company) is a good opportunity to make a “ small” difference for vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals requiring specialist housing.

This platform enables me to connect the local housing needs whilst working with a young and reputable supported housing provider at a local level.

Warren James is Not to “push” people out of Sandwell to scrupulous companies out of Borough; dividing families and creating more vulnerabilities for the already disadvantaged.

I am retired now and thankfully enjoy good health which I wish to put to positive use, serving the housing needs of my local communities and engaging with and promoting charitable events, designed to bring individual empowerment and communities cohesion.
